It happened around 9:30 Sunday night on the 2900 block of Frankford Avenue.
Authorities say someone opened fire striking the victim, who is in his 30s. He was taken to Temple University hospital.
Police were searching for a red/burgundy minivan. A short time later, a van fitting the description was found along Allegheny Avenue.
Two men were taken in for questioning and a weapon was recovered nearby. Official charges have not been filed.
No word yet on a possible motive.
