OCEAN CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Forget that traditional white wedding dress! One bride wore a Philadelphia Eagles jersey, and so did the groom during a Jersey Shore wedding.

Joe Reese Jr. and his bride Heather tied the knot Friday night on the beach in Ocean City.

Joe grew up in South Philadelphia before moving to San Diego where he met the love of his life.

He managed to convert her into a Birds fan.

"It captures you, it brings you in. Eagles fans are amazing, Eagles are amazing," Heather said.

While they still live in San Diego, they wanted to say their 'I Dos' in the Philly area.

Heather was wearing a Nick Foles jersey, while Joe chose Brian Dawkins' retired #20.

"I've been a lifelong fan of the Eagles since the 1970s, sitting in the yellow seats in the 700 level in the freezing cold," Joe said.

The couple actual invited the Eagles to their wedding.

The team RSVP'd with this note of appreciation:

Dear Joe & Heather,

Congratulations on your wedding! We wish you both nothing but a lifetime of health and happiness. We are so grateful to have fans who would think to include us in your wedding celebration. Thank you for being such loyal Eagles fans! Go Birds!

The Philadelphia Eagles

Of course, the new Mr. and Mrs. Joe Reese were introduced at the reception to the tune of the Eagles fight song!

The couple has been together eight years and is planning to spend their honeymoon in the area.

Because they will take a flight back to San Diego after that, we'll just say - Fly Newlyweds Fly!
