PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia was awash in green on Valentine's Day to celebrate its Super Bowl champion Eagles.

Swooning fans screamed and cheered Friday as MVP quarterback Jalen Hurts and Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie took turns hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy at the start of the team's victory parade through the City of Brotherly Love.

Many fans camped out along the team's parade route overnight, huddling under blankets and inside tents to secure prime spots near the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where the Eagles took the stage on the "Rocky" steps.

"You know I told myself that when I got drafted, that I wouldn't come to the Rocky steps until I won a championship," Hurts told cheering fans. "And now we're here."

Those waiting had to buy their tickets in advance. There are no day-of tickets available.

"You must arrive at the station in parade day with a fare instrument in hand - either a loaded Key Card or a one day pass that we're selling. We're going to pre-validate everybody's fare instrument before they board," says SEPTA's Interim General Manager, Scott Sauer.

Regional Rail lines will run on limited, modified service from 4:30 a.m. through 10:50 p.m. on Friday.

Regional trains will operate inbound-only in the morning and outbound-only after the parade.

Officials warned ahead of the big day that there is no guarentee you'll get a seat if you have a Ket Card or one-day parade pass.

Each train can only hold 1,000 people at a time, so fans show plan to arrive early.

Service to Center City will be available via Jefferson and 30th Street stations, which SEPTA officials note is a short walk from the parade route.

Streets mostly quiet ahead of Eagles Super Bowl parade

The streets are mostly quiet early Friday as fans start to make their way to Center City along the parade route.

Many roads are already blocked Friday morning in preparation for the Super Bowl victory parade.

City officials released a list of street closures and parking restrictions earlier this week.

The city is cautioning drivers about challenging travel conditions for the celebrations. Parking spots will be limited as well.

Road closures began on Tuesday, with many expected to last until Saturday.

A large list of streets began closing at 5 a.m. on Friday along the parade route.

Broad Street isn't expected to close to traffic until about 7 a.m., according to Action News Traffic Reporter Matt Pellman, but timing has been being adjusted as needed.

The city asks drivers to obey all "Temporary No Parking" signs. Vehicles parked in these locations during posted hours will be relocated.

There will be no enforcement of meter and time limit regulations on the day of the parade. However, safety violations, such as parking too close to the corner, fire hydrants, blocking crosswalks and double parking, will be enforced.

During the parade, several bicycle lanes along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Broad Street, and streets in the vicinity will be inaccessible.

Cyclists are advised to use caution when traveling in the area.

There will be no access to the Schuylkill River Trail from the rear of the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Friday, February 14. Westbound travel on the Schuylkill Travel will terminate at Paine Skate Park.

The parade route will start at Broad and Pattison streets at 11 a.m. on Friday before heading north on Broad Street toward City Hall. It will then turn down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to the Art Museum. The team expects the ceremony to finish at 3:15 p.m.
