PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Tuesday is Election Day and Pennsylvania is key in the 2024 presidential election, as its 19 electoral votes offer the largest prize among the swing states expected to determine the Electoral College outcome.

The two candidates deadlocked in Pennsylvania, according to ABC News.

Pennsylvania's U.S. Senate will help determine control of the chamber. There is also a focus on Senate races in New Jersey and Delaware. Democrats currently hold a Senate majority by the narrowest of margins.

Harris courts Puerto Rican voters in Latino-heavy Allentown, Pa.

Vice President Kamala Harris continued her Monday swing through Pennsylvania with a rally targeted in large part at Puerto Rican voters in Allentown, a majority-Latino city.

It's where the Harris campaign sees an opportunity to woo voters turned off by the racist joke Tony Hinchcliffe told at former President Donald Trump's New York rally last month.

When Mayor Matthew Tuerk mentioned Hinchcliffe's "garbage" comment, the crowd at the Muhlenberg College gymnasium booed, and at least two Puerto Rican flags were unfurled.

Rapper Fat Joe, who spoke shortly before Harris, called upon Latino voters to have "pride" and reject Trump.

"They said they needed a Puerto Rican in Allentown, and I was more than honored to come speak to my people," he said.

In her own remarks, the vice president touted her "long-standing commitment to Puerto Rico and her people."

She promised that she would be "a president for all Americans" and added that her campaign has "momentum" in the closing hours of the race.

"It is my pledge to you, if you give me a chance to fight on your behalf as president, there is nothing in the world that will stand in my way," Harris said.

Harris emphasizes unity while addressing canvassers in Scranton, Pa.

Harris addressed canvassers in Scranton, Pennsylvania, ahead of a rally later this afternoon in the battleground state, where she emphasized building community and unity.

"I can feel the mood in here because it's the best of who we are as a democracy," Harris said at the event at the Montage Mountain Resort. "We are a people-driven campaign, and we love the people, and we see in the face of a stranger a neighbor, right? And that's the spirit of what we are doing."

She said the "whole era of this other guy" and discussion about "trying to point fingers at each other and divide each other" makes people feel alone.

"As we are getting out to vote, as we are canvassing, let's be intentional about building community, about building community, about building coalitions, about reminding people we all have so much more in common than what separates us," she said.

The day Vance was announced as Trump's vice presidential pick in July, Trump told ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jon Karl that he was "going to leave [Vance] in Pennsylvania."

Pennsylvania's importance in this election can't be overstated -- it's a crucial swing state with 19 coveted electoral votes where Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are neck and neck. Whoever wins the state is very likely win the presidential election. During the 2020 election, Pennsylvania was the state that sealed the presidency for President Joe Biden.
