Former President George W. Bush has made his first visit to the $2.1 million Dallas house that he'll soon call home.

Bush and his wife, Laura, stopped by the property Tuesday.

Spokesman Rob Saliterman (suh-LIT'-er-man) confirms it was Bush's first visit to the house, which the former first couple plan to move into in February. Laura Bush visited the property on Friday.

The Bushes have been staying at their Crawford ranch since the 43rd president last week finished his second term in the White House.

WFAA reports the Bushes also visited the ex-president's nearby office. His presidential library is planned on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
