Another suspected dog fighting bust in Phila.

PHILADELPHIA - February 5, 2010

Officers from the Pennsylvania SPCA served a search warrant on a property in the 900 block of W. Dauphin Street on Thursday night.

They say it had been under investigation for months.

Three pit bulls were rescued and dog fighting paraphernalia was recovered, the PSPCA said.

One of the dogs had 'significant scarring' to its face and body.

The PSPCA said charges are pending.

The dogs are in protective custody and are not available for adoption.

Investigators said this alleged dog fighting ring may be connected to one that was announced on February 2nd in the 2200 block of N. Delphi Street.

One of the dogs discovered there underwent surgery for its injuries.

They have not yet said why they suspect the two are connected.
