It happened around 11:30 a.m. Friday on Interstate 76 just before the Route 42/I-295 split.
The man who died has been identified as 53-year-old John Fean from Philadelphia. He was the driver of a black Ford Explorer that flipped over.
Police say Fean lost control and was partially ejected from the vehicle in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Fean's wife and daughter were also in the car. Police say they were wearing seatbelts and survived with just minor injuries.
The family was heading to the shore for the holiday weekend, police said.
