The shooting happened just before 12:00 pm. on the 5200 block of Hawthorne Street.
Police were responding to a report of a person with a gun when they found the victim.
He was pronounced dead at 12:16 p.m. His name and age have not been released.
There is also no word on a suspect or motive in this crime.
