One critical after carjacking attempt

The search is on this morning for three suspects involved in an attempted carjacking that left one person critically injured.

It happened in the 5800 block of Woodbine Street in West Philadelphia.

Police say a man in his 20s was sitting in his car when he was approached by three men. The driver hit the gas and sped off.

One of the suspects opened fire. A bullet pierced the back window and struck the driver in the neck.

The injured man was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he remains in critical condition.
