Delaware girl accused of drugging father

NEWARK, Del. (AP) - June 2, 2008

New Castle County police say they learned about the incident while investigating a domestic assault late Saturday evening at a home in the first block of Montague Road.

According to police, the girl's parents accused her of pushing them and damaging some property. That's when police learned the girl several weeks ago laced her father's tea with an over-the-counter pain reliever so he would fall asleep and she could sneak out of the house.

The girl is charged with criminal mischief, terroristic threatening and unlawfully administering drugs.
