NJ Transit offering early holiday getaways

NJ Transit is offering extra trains and buses for commuters who want to get an early start to their Thanksgiving holiday. Trains will start rolling out of New York's Penn Station, Newark Penn Station and Hoboken Terminal at noon Wednesday.

Buses will operate on a weekday schedule, with additional buses leaving the Port Authority Bus Terminal starting around 1 p.m.

Trains will operate on a weekend/holiday schedule on Thanksgiving. But there will be extra trains for those heading into New York City for the Macy's parade.

Up to two kids under 11 travel for free with each fare-paying adult.
