Doctors and emergency rooms in New Jersey are seeing more flu cases. The state Health Department says flulike symptoms accounted for almost 5 percent of emergency room visits for the week ending Jan. 19. They were 3.4 percent the week before.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tells The Star-Ledger of Newark New Jersey is one of six states with "widespread" flu activity. That's the highest level.

Doctors say it's never too late to get a flu shot.
