Police: Car that hit police station was set on fire

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. - March 15, 2010

It happened around 1:00 a.m. Sunday at the Quakertown Police Department.

Investigators tell Action News a man who "had an issue" with the police department a few days prior is responsible. Exactly what that issue was has not been disclosed.

The suspect, who has not been identified, drove his car into the police station then set it on fire according to police.

The police station was not damaged by the impact of the car, and only sustained minor damage from the fire.

The suspect is being evaluated for mental health issues.

An arrest is planned on Monday.

No one was hurt in this incident.
