6abc Town Hall: A National Convening of Mayors
Mayors from around the nation join 6abc's Sharrie Williams to discuss the advancement of Black and Brown communities and businesses to commemorate National Black Business Month.

As 6abc continues its commitment to uplifting Black and Brown communities, we are pleased to moderate this virtual conversation.

The program featured a town hall with African American Mayors from across the nation. And in the second half, you'll get to hear from local Pennsylvania politicians, government officials and thought leaders, plus the US Black Chamber of Commerce on how help the small business economy thrive.

This is an opportunity for Black cities to hear and vocalize issues concerning the black business community and share best practices amongst one another.

The discussion centers on how we can advance the minority business community here in Philadelphia and many other city across the country. This conversation is even more timely because August is 'National Black Business" month.

The Town Hall panel includes:

Mayor Hardie Davis, Jr. of Augusta, GA

Mayor Thaddeus Kirkland of Chester, PA

Mayor Stephen Benjamin of Columbia, SC

Mayor Marty Small, Sr. of Atlantic City, NJ

Regina Hairston - President and CEO of the African-American Chamber of Commerce of Pennsylvania, New Jersey & Delaware

With input from:

Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, DC

Mayor Brandon Scott of Baltimore, MD

Mayor LaToya Cantrell of New Orleans, LA
