Fatal pedestrian accident leaves 1 dead: Police

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in the city's Juniata section.

The incident happened Friday just after 10 p.m. at Erie Avenue and J Street.

Officials say 39-year-old Ana Moya-Jimenez was struck and killed while walking across the street.

Police have been in contact with the alleged suspect, a 21 year old man.

Officials say charges are pending further investigation.
